How RoleVerity Uses AI

Effective and last updated September 4, 2026

RoleVerity uses AI to help you compare job requirements with your own evidence, improve application materials, and understand areas that deserve closer review. AI supports your judgment; it does not replace it.

Where AI is used

RoleVerity uses AI when you intentionally run features such as:

  • Job Fit Analyzer to compare résumé evidence, Career Profile information, and a job description;
  • ATS Scanner to review résumé structure, content, and job-specific alignment; and
  • Resume Studio to help draft or revise résumé content that you can review and edit.

The Help Assistant is different: its answers are selected from curated RoleVerity guidance in your browser. Questions entered there are not sent to an AI model.

Information sent for processing

When you request an AI-assisted feature, RoleVerity sends OpenAI the information needed for that request. Depending on the feature, this can include résumé text, Career Profile preferences, job details, a job description, and instructions that define the requested analysis or draft.

RoleVerity does not send your résumé to job-board providers and does not use the Help Assistant to transmit your question to OpenAI. Account, billing, retention, deletion, and service-provider details are explained in the Privacy Policy and the Data Retention and Deletion Policy.

How your personal information is protected

RoleVerity uses layered safeguards designed to protect personal information. Account access requires authentication; account-specific database rules help prevent one user from reading another user's workspace; résumé files are kept in private, user-scoped storage; and privileged service credentials remain on the server.

Payment details are handled by Stripe, and RoleVerity does not store complete card numbers or card security codes. Operational monitoring is designed to record bounded, privacy-safe error details instead of résumé text, job descriptions, passwords, verification codes, payment details, or other customer content.

Production database backups and the private résumé-file backup are encrypted and access-restricted. These safeguards reduce risk, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account or information may be at risk, change your password and contact support@roleverity.com.

How scores and recommendations work

AI identifies possible evidence, gaps, semantic relationships, and uncertainty. Deterministic application code then applies the product's documented scoring rules and combines qualification and preference results. Explicit preference failures and true eligibility requirements are not silently overridden by a strong AI assessment.

Results show the supporting evidence, confidence, preference checks, and reviewable gaps so you can understand why a score or recommendation was produced. If the AI review fails or confidence is too low, RoleVerity falls back to a visible review state instead of presenting an unsupported conclusion as certain.

What RoleVerity does not automate

RoleVerity does not automatically apply for jobs, contact employers, or change your résumé without your action. RoleVerity does not make hiring decisions or guarantee an interview, offer, or employment outcome.

You decide which opportunities to pursue, what information to use, and what application materials to submit. Employers and their hiring systems operate independently from RoleVerity.

Limitations and responsible use

AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or biased. It may misunderstand specialized experience, infer an incorrect relationship between roles, overlook context, or produce wording that is not supported by your actual background.

Review every score, explanation, and draft before relying on it. Keep only statements you can support truthfully, confirm important eligibility requirements with the employer, and use professional advice when a career decision has significant legal, financial, or personal consequences.

Your controls

  • You choose when to run an AI-assisted feature.
  • You can review and edit generated résumé content.
  • You can question or disregard a score or recommendation.
  • You can correct Career Profile information and replace or delete your active résumé.
  • You can export your account data or permanently delete your account from Account.
