Legal terms
Terms of Service
Effective and last updated August 24, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of RoleVerity. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract to use RoleVerity. If you use the service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials confidential, and promptly update information that becomes inaccurate. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by RoleVerity's breach of these Terms or applicable law.
Tell us promptly at support@roleverity.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not share, sell, transfer, or provide another person with access to your account.
What RoleVerity provides
RoleVerity provides tools for job discovery, career profiles, résumé creation, ATS-oriented review, job-fit analysis, saved searches, application tracking, and related career-workspace functions. Features and plan limits may change as the service develops.
RoleVerity does not act as an employer, recruiter, staffing agency, legal advisor, or agent for you. It does not submit job applications, communicate with employers on your behalf, or guarantee that you will receive an interview, offer, employment, compensation, or any other result.
AI and career-information limitations
RoleVerity uses automated analysis and AI-assisted generation to support your judgment. Scores, classifications, recommendations, résumé language, and ATS analyses may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular employer.
You must review all generated content and verify every material statement before using it. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your résumé and applications, for deciding whether a job is appropriate, and for complying with employer instructions and law. RoleVerity's output is informational and is not legal, financial, employment, or professional advice.
Job listings and third-party services
Job listings come from third-party providers and employer career sites. RoleVerity does not control those sources and cannot guarantee that a listing is accurate, complete, lawful, available, or posted by a legitimate employer. Verify the employer, role, compensation, location, requirements, and application process before sharing information or taking action.
Third-party sites and services have their own terms and privacy practices. RoleVerity is not responsible for third-party content, availability, transactions, or conduct. Links do not imply an endorsement.
Your content
You retain ownership of résumés, profile information, notes, and other content you submit. You grant RoleVerity a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, display to you, and create service-requested outputs from that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and fulfill your requests.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that it does not violate law or another person's rights. Do not upload trade secrets, confidential employer material, government identifiers, financial-account information, medical information, or other information that is unnecessary for your job search.
RoleVerity may use feedback you voluntarily provide about the service without restriction or compensation, but will not publicly identify you as the source without permission.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- use RoleVerity unlawfully or to harm, deceive, or harass anyone;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent qualifications;
- upload malware or attempt unauthorized access;
- probe, bypass, or interfere with security, rate, usage, or billing controls;
- scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, resell, or commercially exploit the service except where law expressly permits;
- use automated means to create accounts or generate abusive traffic;
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights; or
- use the service to train a competing model or product without written permission.
Plans, recurring billing, and taxes
RoleVerity offers a Development plan and paid monthly plans. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe and automatically renew each month until canceled. Before purchase, Stripe shows the selected plan, recurring price, billing interval, and applicable taxes.
You authorize Stripe and RoleVerity to charge the payment method you provide for recurring subscription charges and applicable taxes. If a payment fails, Stripe may retry it. Paid access may continue during a recovery period and may end if payment remains unresolved. Plan allowances and available features are shown in the service and may vary by plan.
We may change future prices or plan features with notice required by applicable law. A price change will not take effect before the date described in that notice.
Cancellation, refunds, and account deletion
You may cancel online at any time through Usage & Plan and the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation stops automatic renewal, and paid access normally continues through the end of the current billing period before the account returns to the Development plan.
Charges are final and non-refundable except where required by law or for a verified billing error. The complete rules are in the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
Permanent account deletion cancels an active subscription and ends access immediately. It does not create a refund or credit. To use the remainder of a paid period, cancel first and wait until that period ends before deleting your account.
RoleVerity intellectual property
RoleVerity and its licensors own the service, software, design, branding, and related intellectual property, excluding your content and third-party content. Subject to these Terms, RoleVerity grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your personal career-search purposes.
Privacy and account data
Our Privacy Policy explains how RoleVerity collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information. In-product controls allow you to export account data, delete an active résumé, and permanently delete an account, subject to verification and lawful retention.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or others, investigate suspected abuse, enforce these Terms, respond to legal requirements, or address nonpayment. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. You may stop using the service or delete your account at any time.
Service changes and availability
We may add, remove, or modify features and may interrupt the service for maintenance, security, or operational reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. If a material change adversely affects a paid subscription, we will provide any notice or remedy required by applicable law.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoleVerity is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. These disclaimers do not limit any warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoleVerity will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoleVerity's total liability for claims arising from or related to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid RoleVerity during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or 100 US dollars. This section does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability arising from fraud, willful misconduct, or other non-waivable obligations.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you and RoleVerity agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue by written notice. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies available under applicable consumer law or prevents either party from seeking relief in a court with lawful jurisdiction.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will post the updated Terms here, revise the effective date, and provide additional notice when required by law. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms, except where affirmative consent or another procedure is required by law.
General terms
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund and Cancellation Policy form the agreement between you and RoleVerity regarding the service. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization or transfer of the service.
